The recent Turning Point USA conference had a theme of women giving up their right to vote, but the issue involved is 90% about race. Conference speakers and activists talked about being eager to give up their right to vote if that would make the United States a more Christian and conservative country. But that would be accomplished entirely by eliminating Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native Women from the voting electorate in America. Fifty-two percent of white women voted for Trump. So, the elimination of the white women vote wouldn’t make much difference for Trump and the Republicans. However, 92% of black women, 66% of Latino women, and 65% of AAIP women voted Harris. The main effect of taking away the women’s vote would be to make the voting electorate racially more white and therefore give further impetus to the white majority among voters.
